Towering 40 feet in the air, adjacent to Highway 21, Trochu Golf & Country Club is home to the World’s Largest Golf Tee. The community worked hard to win this Tee from an ATB contest in 2009. A group of dedicated community members put together an application video, which contained a scene where 1,618 golf balls were arranged to read, “Tee is Fore Trochu”. Once Trochu was chosen as one of three finalists, everyone got behind the idea, casting votes to beat out two communities much larger. Ironically, The World’s Largest Tee proves it isn’t how big you are, it’s how much heart you have that can really get things done. Be sure to swing by, snap a selfie and take in all Trochu has to offer.
