For over 50 years, Kneehill Adult Learning Society has provided education and resources for adults looking to improve skills like reading, writing, math, and digital literacy. As we’ve grown, we are excited to offer greatly expanded services to help you increase job competency, learn computer skills, a second language and assist in settlement and community integration for folks new to Canada and Kneehill County.

LEARNING

We love lifelong learning! Let us help you improve your reading, writing, math, and digital skills with free tutoring. We can screen for and provide strategies for learning disabilities such as dyslexia. Through us, you can take computer programs courses such as Microsoft Office, Google, Zoom, Internet Safety, and QuickBooks. We also offer second language classes, Food Safe, Baby Sitting, art classes, song writing, book clubs, and much more! Everyone and every skill level welcome!

NEWCOMERS

Whether you have just arrived in Canada or have recently moved to the community we are here to help. We can provide community orientations and information, workshops about living and working in Alberta, translation and interpretation, help with forms and applications, and one-on-one support to aid your integration to our community.

Our friendly staff are excited to help you learn English in our ESL conversation classes, one-on-one tutoring, and preparation for CELPIP and IELTS tests. We can provide information about Canadian citizenship and government programs. We are well connected and can help you find the best online classes offered in Alberta.

EMPLOYABILITY

We provide Employment support and resources to help you with your career goals! We offer high quality courses designed to improve your workplace skills, like digital skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and computer literacy, health and safety workshops, and Food Safe. We can connect you with partner organizations who offer job coaching, specific employment programs, and funding for eligible clients. We also provide free WiFi, public access to computers, assistance in writing and printing resumes and cover letters. We facilitate the local online job board.
